What can a mini excavator do?Bundy Hire mini excavators are ideal for small to medium sized tasks. The smaller machines have minimal tail swing and can access areas that large and heavy machinery can’t.
Who can use a mini excavator?Bundy Hire mini excavators are very easy to drive and operate. Almost everybody can operated one after a little training.
What tasks are mini excavators suitable for?Bundy Hire mini excavators have a large variety of uses from digging to building rock walls. Builders, tradies and home owners can use a mini excavator. They are compact and easily manoeuvred, making them perfect for tight spaces.
How do I operate an excavator?Bundy Hire strives to provide easy operation lessons. We show you how everything works within 10 minutes upon collection. If you have never used one before we recommend our equipment not be used on steep slopes, hills or in dangerous terrain.
Can the tracks be left at 1000mm when operating?If limited space is available it is ok to operate the tracks at 1000mm. However, Bundy Hire recommends the tracks be at their widest position during operation. This gives the machine maximum stability, reducing the risk of tipping.
Do I need a licence to operate the machines?No, you do not require a licence or ticket to operate Bundy Hire equipment. After a little training, concentration is all that’s required.
Can my car tow the excavator?Bundy Hire excavators come on a trailer, most 4x4s and larger vehicles can tow them. Unsure if your vehicle is suitable, we’re a call away and happy to research it for you. If your vehicle does not meet the requirements for towing capacity, we can deliver and pick up to your location for a small charge. All Trailers are fitted with a 7 pin flat plug. Do I need a truck licence for the tipper?No. The tipper can be driven on a car licence. Is the trencher easily operated? Bundy Hire trenchers are very easy to operate. We show you how everything works upon collection. What is required from me when hiring?Your driver’s licence and credit card is required upon collection. A $200 Bond on all hire equipment will be reimbursed upon safe return.
What time can I collect?On schedule hire day pick up is available from 7.00am. It must be returned by 5.00pm on the same scheduled hire day.
Do you offer Pickup and Delivery?Yes, delivery and pickup can be organised for the scheduled day when making booking. Contact us for pricing.
Is early pickup or drop off available?We will accommodate where possible. When making the booking inquire about organising a time to suit.
Is there a deposit taken when booking?No, a deposit is not required when making a booking. If you need to cancel a booking please provide ample notice of cancellation.
Is there any extra charges?The cost of hire and bond is required upon pick up. All Bundy Hire machines will be clean and full of diesel when hiring, we request it be returned in the same manner. If machine is returned dirty and fuel tank not full a $30 cleaning fee and $40 refuelling fee will be charged.
What if I damage the machine?You are responsible for all repairs, big or small needed to the machine while in your possession. Bundy Hire’s machines are regularly serviced and well maintained. A breakdown is not likely to occur, unless it’s from misuse. You are insured but you are responsible for paying the excess on the premium.
Is there insurance?All machines hired from Bundy Hire come with Queensland registration trailer and insurance. If you damage any equipment you are responsible and are required to pay the excess on the premium.
